If you are looking for a high-energy diverse professional group that is committed to developing communication and leadership skills, then The Noontime Nomads Toastmaster group is your kind of place!
Improved Public Speaking and Leadership are the Goals
In this diverse group of 25 to 30, the common thread is the desire and commitment to improve public speaking and leadership skills. Using the TM international plan each member is traveling along his or her own course of development. Some members are very new and have only one or two speeches under their belt. Others have been members for years and are continuing to improve their already stellar presentations. Many are well on their way to developing their leadership skills by holding club offices. No matter what amount of experience, all members of this positive and enthusiastic group heartily support one another in an environment of encouragement and gentle evaluation.
The Secrets of Our Success
NOONTIME NOMADS is one of the more successful Toastmaster’s clubs in the Portland Metro area. It was established September 30, 1991 and boasts a regular membership base of about 25 people. The success of our club can be attributed to two things: committed leadership from the club officers and a rich blend of long-time seasoned members as well as new members with fresh ideas.
Meetings are Lively and Entertaining
Our meetings are always lively and entertaining thanks to the involvement or our members and also because we hold shorter than usual meetings, which packs a lot of excitement and education into one hour. This makes Noontime Nomads an ideal meeting for professionals who want to attend at the lunch hour as well as stay-at-home parents who want to improve their communication skills while the kids are in school.
Everyone Benefits
Toastmasters is for everyone: no matter what your station in life, no matter where you are professionally or personally, everyone can benefit from the self-confidence gained by facing the fear of public speaking and improving your communication and leadership skills. Noontime Nomads is the club to help you get there.
